Cameo, “Ballerina,” or “Dancing Girl”, made by Hocking Glass Co. is one of the most popular depression glass patterns. Cameo depression glass was made in pink, green and yellow. Rare Cameo depression glass colors included yellow and pink. Pink Cameo depression glass is beautiful and difficult to locate. Green Cameo depression glass is the most popular and is the collector’s choice.

Cameo depression pieces that are most difficult to obtain are; Cameo 3 leg console bowl, Cameo cream soup bowl, Cameo butterdish, Cameo domino tray, Cameo 3 ½” wine goblet, Cameo 5 ¾” syrup pitcher, Cameo center handle sandwich server and the Cameo 6 3/8” footed tumbler.

Cameo Depression Glass Characteristics

Cameo depression glass is characterized by the “Ballerina” girl in the pattern, the beautiful and vibrant pink and green colors and the large variety of pieces made in the Cameo pattern. Items in the Cameo depression glass pattern include; cream soup bowl, vegetable bowl, butterdish, cake plate, candy dish, cookie jar, goblets, pitchers, dinner plates, and tumblers. Cameo depression glass pattern gives the collector endless opportunities to complete various combinations.
