Colored glass made in the 1920's and 1930's is more commonly known as "Depression Glass." It is also referred to as "Colored Glassware of the Depression Era." Some of the major companies producing this glass were: Hocking Glass, Federal Glass, Imperial Glass, Jeannette Glass, U.S. Glass, MacBeth-Evans Glass, Atlas Glass, Paden City Glass and Westmoreland Glass to name a few. There are many patterns in depression glass. The entire series of patterns may be referred to as "Adam to Windsor."

The more popular patterns are: Adam, American Sweetheart, Cameo, Cherry Blossom, Floral, Iris and Herringbone, Mayfair, Miss America, Princess, Royal Lace and Sharon.

Depression glass is the distinctive kind of transparent glass made in colors - primarily in pink, green, yellow and crystal. It was molded into a variety of different patterns during the late 1920's and early 1930's. The various sets are known as "collectors items" or "collectible glassware."
